When I reviewed BetOWI, the first thing that crossed my mind is they’re a sportsbook better suited for intermediate and advanced bettors.
I say that because I was confused when I tried to navigate their site.
Let me explain.
When you first log-in these are the options you’ll see:
Bet It All
Straight
Parlays
Teasers
Round Robins
If Win Only
If Win or Tie
Lose Only
If Lose or Tie
Compact Round Robin
Key Parlay
If Bets
(And there are others.)
Being a newer bettor myself I don’t have a clue what these options are. I recognize the straight bet option and I have heard of round robins and parlays.
Only when you click on one of these options will you be able to choose a sport and then the types of bets you want to make.
This is backward compared to most other sportsbooks I’ve reviewed. You start with the sports first, then choose the type of bet and game/odds.
And I think that’s the easiest setup for beginners.
Other than that their betting section was straightforward.
It’s small, too. The sports (markets) you can bet on include:
American football
Basketball
Boxing/UFC
Golf
Horse racing
Soccer
Tennis
More sports
They just cover the basics. If you want robust selection you’ll have to go elsewhere.
What I found interesting about their casino is that it’s split into two. When you click on the casino tab you’ll be asked to choose from two options – Fortuna or Casa Blanca.
Each section will have a slightly different selection of casino games. They’re standard options, though, such as Spanish blackjack, baccarat, craps, roulette, pai gow poker, video poker and some slot machines.
I’d like it better if they would just merge the two casinos together. It’d be a better user-experience since you wouldn’t have to bounce back and forth.
On the bright side both the sportsbook and casino are mobile-ready.

How You Can Get $3,500
BetOWI does offer a couple bonuses. This is a nice change of pace from bitcoin-exclusive sportsbooks and casinos that offer nothing at all.
What they have for punters is a 100% match bonus up to $500.
The good news is the rollover is relatively small – only 16x.
The bad news?
You have to deposit at least $100 to qualify for the offer. You also cannot forfeit the offer. That means you must clear the bonus requirements before they’ll let you withdraw anything.
They have a casino offer too – you can get a 300% match on your first deposit up to $3,000.
And while you play through your bonuses you can start to build up your VIP status. There are 3 tiers – Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each option will get you neat stuff like free payouts, points and cash back.
Betowi’s “Normal” Banking Options
BetOWI is a ‘normal’ sportsbook.
As such, they have standard banking options you can use to fund your account. That includes Western Union, credit cards, MoneyGram and bitcoin.
They also accept PayPal. That alone signals to me they’re a (relatively) safe book since PayPal doesn’t work with everyone.
For cash outs you can use Western Union, MoneyGram, money orders and bitcoin. Bear in mind you’ll pay as much as $100 in fees – so it might pay to play enough to cover them.
Things You Might like or Dislike
Here are a few things you might like or dislike about BetOWI.
You might like that:
They’re mobile ready.
They have bonuses and cash back.
They accept other forms of payment than bitcoin.
They accept Americans.
You might not like that:
You can’t forfeit your bonus. So I recommend only depositing what you’re comfortable clearing – or be okay with possibly kissing your money goodbye.
They look like a decent platform. They accept Americans. They offer promotions.
No problems there.
My only gripes come from the navigation and that you can’t forfeit your bonus.
I would usually rate a book like this a… B+… maybe an A-.
But my research shows that a couple other of the more popular forum and review portals have them listed a D+.
So I’m going to split the difference and give them a B-. They look like an okay book – but definitely check them out for yourself and let us know what you think.
